JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation of electrical cable tray, lights, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- May have to drive light equipment and light vehicles
- Gather equipment and material
- Develop and review hazard assessments
- Ability to work in a Team environment
- Ability to work in safe manner
- Ability to make good working relationships with management teams
- Ability to mentor, lead and direct apprentices
- Ability to meet or exceed construction schedules
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta)
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate practical problem-solving ability. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Rotations: 14/7 (Shift Cycle is subject to change)
- Day shift (Night shift may be required- based on client needs)
- Travel is required
- Camp accommodations provided
- Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements
