Electrician - Journeyman / Apprentice

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for skilled Journeymen or  Apprentice Electricians to join a large-scale industrial construction project. This is a full-scope electrical position — you will be performing both permanent and temporary electrical work across a complex industrial facility. The majority of the electrical scope will be performed from Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), including boom lifts up to 185 feet. This is on the larger end of aerial lift work in the industry — candidates must be genuinely comfortable working at significant heights and operating large-platform lifts. Fall Protection and AWP/EWP tickets are mandatory. Experience on 120ft+ lifts is a strong asset.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Building and installing cable tray systems
• Pulling, glanding, and terminating electrical cables
• Installing permanent lighting fixtures and receptacles
• Installing and terminating welding plugs
• Establishing electrical panel services (permanent installations)
• Installing and maintaining temporary power panels, feeder cables, and temporary lighting
• Installing feeder cables for large generator power distribution systems
• Maintaining, repairing, and testing temp power panels, disconnects, welders, and PWHT consoles
• Testing electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Troubleshooting and repairing industrial temporary lighting circuits
• Performing QC testing on electrical components
• Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
• Conducting preventive maintenance and maintaining records
• Developing and reviewing hazard assessments
• Tools, equipment inspection, and material management

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
• Journeyman Electrician Certificate — OR — valid Electrical Apprenticeship at 3rd or 4th year level (credential must be recognized in Saskatchewan)
• Fall Protection
• AWP / EWP — experience on large-platform lifts (120ft+) strongly preferred; 185ft lifts will be in use
• H2S Alive
• Common Safety Orientation (Energy Safety Canada)
• First Aid with CPR
• WHMIS 2015

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
• Proficient with permanent electrical installation: cable tray, conduit, glanding, terminations, panel services
• Competent in temporary power systems: distribution panels, generator feeds, PWHT, welding circuits
• Comfortable working from EWPs at heights up to 185ft — this is a firm requirement, not an occasional task
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical code
• Strong troubleshooting skills across both permanent and temporary electrical systems
• High attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team in a fast-paced industrial environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Shift Cycle: 14 & 7 (subject to change)
• Day/Night Shift
• Camp accommodations provided during scheduled shift
• Travel required
• Must be able to meet and maintain site access requirements
• Physical ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
