MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and define work packages for rotating equipment maintenance.
• Scope jobs through site visits, discussions, and meetings with stakeholders.
• Identify work order steps based on client specifications and vendor best practices.
• Determine required parts and services, initiate ordering, and generate bills of materials.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain and update technical data.
• Validate and maintain parts descriptions, primary vendor details, and OEM part numbers.
• Adjust reorder points and stock categories to optimize inventory.
• Conduct physical warehouse checks to verify spare parts, count inventory, and consolidate duplicate catalog numbers.
• Ensure all modifications, upgrades, and latest revisions are documented and stored correctly.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and other teams to review and validate work scopes.
• Coordinate with scheduling and specialty teams (E&I planners, EHT, Engineering, etc.) to finalize work packs.
• Review and support field execution plans with the maintenance team.
• Gather execution team feedback for continuous process improvements.
• Assist in planning and executing routine and forced outages.
• Contribute to the development of rotating machinery maintenance job plans.
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Train and mentor junior planners in the work order and planning process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Journeyman Millwright Certificate.
• H2S Alive Certificate (ESC), WHMIS 2015, Common Safety Orientation (ESC)
• 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance planner.
• Industrial maintenance experience, particularly with pressure piping, instrumentation, electrical, and rotating equipment.
• Experience in planning, budgeting, and estimation.
• Proficiency in software such as Primavera, Excel, MS Project, Access, and Word.
• Strong mechanical proficiency with compressors, turbines, and pumps.
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation.
• Understanding of rotating equipment, parts, and services.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and produce high-quality work with minimal guidance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance processes and scheduling best practices.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations in Alberta.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• 4&3 Shift Cycle
• Charter flights from Edmonton or Calgary to site
• Camp accommodations provided during scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
• Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements
