Material Coordinator

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review the Materials Management plan & adjust as needed based on improvement opportunities from last events
  • Generate “sub-milestones” associated with meeting target Major Milestones
  • Review all on-site Warehousing requirements
  • Establish links with the TA Warehouse Coordinator & TA Purchasing Coordinator
  • Keep lines of communication open; participate in regularly scheduled meetings with Maintenance personnel on work package material requirements
  • Assist the Coordinator with all spare parts, materials and contract services required in the scope of the schedule and unscheduled maintenance activities for all disciplines
  • Participate in the safety reviews related with spare parts handling, involving engineering, safety, maintenance, lead hands, craftsmen and operations
  • Assist with planned spare parts issues from the Warehouse, service agreements and unexpected issues while remaining cost effective, on time and on schedule
  • Prepare spare parts and service summary report and ensure all used resources are properly documented and reported in the CMMS
  • Identify correct stock number to add to the BOM and enter into the Maximo work order parts list
  • Assist the Scope Admin with the Turnaround Scope Tracker
  • Complete kitting of materials by work order number
  • Comply with all Health and Safety requirements establish by the client
  • Know and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of Alberta and environmental standards
  • Follow safe work procedures and ensure all comply
  • Report any injury or illness immediately
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions
  • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and is worn where and when required
  • Conduct Turnaround for Materials Service Team
  • Attend overall Turnaround
  • Review Turnaround Manual and update as required


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Maximo experience required
  • Knowledge of intermediate level of the Microsoft Office Environment (Excel/Word);
  • Demonstrate initiative and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Rotations: 4 & 3 (Shift Cycle is subject to change)
  • Day shift
  • Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
  • Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements
