We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership in fostering collaboration among team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safety Leadership: Act as a safety leader, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with organizational and client-specific health and safety requirements.
• Cost Management: Control project costs and ensure adherence to established budgets.
• Contract Administration: Understand and oversee the timely and effective execution of the Contracts.
• Progress Monitoring: Understand and validate the progress of work to ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Change Management: Identify, quantify and manage contract changes, additional work orders, and any changes that may impact the success of the Project.
• Cost Analysis: Understand and analyze project cost reports. Provide accurate analysis and forecasting.
• Schedule Management: Monitor and update project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain the quality assurance program to meet project standards.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with the Project team effectively to ensure the success of the team.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster and maintain positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, material suppliers, and all involved with the Projects goals.
• Labour Management: Manage and develop the workforce, work with senior Management to minimize and resolve issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technician, or Journeyperson in a relevant trade, combined with relevant experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager, or Senior leadership role in the Construction, Maintenance or Turnarounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Work Environment: Industrial construction sites, which may involve outdoor work, exposure to varying weather conditions, and operating in high-activity areas.
• Work Hours: Standard work hours-keeping in mind the role- will align with project schedules, with potential for extended hours, shift work, as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Travel Requirements: Travel to and from project sites may be required, depending on the location and scope of the project. This may include remotes sites on a rotational basis.
• Safety Compliance: All work will be conducted in compliance with organizational and client-specific health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Physical Requirements: The role may involve occasional physical activities such as walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs and ladders, and exposure to harsh en
