MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, MI EHT, SR EHT, junction boxes, end kits RTD’s, EHT controllers, and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install and test EHT panels, transformers, controllers, and branch circuits
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
- Perform QC testing on existing EHT components
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- May have to drive light equipment and light vehicles
- Inventory and material count
- Tools and equipment inspection
- Gather equipment and material
- Develop and review hazard assessments
- May have to inspect materials and equipment
- Assist the electrical
foreman in the completion of work
REQUIRED SKILLS
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate practical
problem-solving ability. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Saskatchewan)
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space (Entry&Monitor)
- EWP
- ESTS (Electrical Safety Training System)
- First Aid with CPR
- One of the following Valid Safety Tickets: CSTS2020, GMSA (General Mine Safety Awareness), or CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
