Electrical Estimator

DCM Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale industrial construction projects. This role is crucial in helping us win new business and ensure the successful execution of projects within budget and on time.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical components of industrial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.
  • Analyze and interpret project drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to gather information and assess project conditions.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks, providing recommendations for project optimization.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical data, and estimation tools.
  • Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and technological advancements related to electrical construction.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors.

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the industrial construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid) and Microsoft Office 365 Environment (Excel, Word, Project, SharePoint).
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations in the industrial construction industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
