Location: Edmonton, Alberta office
based with occasional travel to project sites and customer locations in Western
Canada and the US (approx. 10% travel, including trade shows)
Type: Full-time, permanent — dedicated in-house marketing role
at Solv3 Group
About the Role
Solv3 Group is a platform of three specialist industrial businesses serving oil
sands, power generation, hydrogen, mining and petrochemical markets. Marketing
has historically been handled by operations and leadership which is no longer
sustainable.
This is a builder’s role. There is no existing marketing department, and historically multiple agencies contributed to the existing content library, resulting it inconsistencies, and organizational gaps. The person who takes this job will design the function and then run it.
This is genuinely three mandates held by one person:
- DCM needs recruitment marketing to keep pace with project labour demand (craft and project staff).
- PCSI needs product marketing and sales support for its engineered combustion products.
- TES and PCSI are both entering the US market and need brand development, positioning, and market entry support.
What You'll Do
- Build and own annual marketing plans and budgets for each operating company
- Run always-on recruitment campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Indeed) and manage the careers site and application funnel
- Produce technical content — case studies, product literature, proposal materials, web copy, social campaigns, and presentation decks — by working directly with various stakeholders including engineers, tradespeople, project staff, company leadership and customers
- Own the three company websites plus the careers site (content, SEO, lead capture) and run marketing operations in HubSpot (campaigns, lead routing, attribution, reporting)
- Build and execute a US market entry strategy: target account lists, account-based campaigns, trade show strategy, and industry/trade association presence in the U.S.
- Maintain brand standards and an asset library across all three companies
- Manage external vendors (designers, videographers, printers, web developers, media buyers)
- Support HR with employer branding and support business development with pursuit-specific materials
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of B2B marketing experience, including at least 3 years in industrial, construction, energy, manufacturing, or a comparable technical sector
- Demonstrated experience in both recruitment/employer-brand marketing and product/service marketing
- Proven ability to translate technical subject matter into content that survives engineering review
- Hands-on production skills: design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or equivalent), CMS/website management, marketing automation (HubSpot preferred), paid social
- Strong writing — the single most important skill for this role
- Comfortable on industrial sites and able to meet site safety requirements
- Able to travel to the United States
Preferred: experience marketing into oil & gas, power generation, petrochemical, or heavy industrial end users; experience entering a new geographic market (especially US); skilled trades recruitment marketing (union/apprenticeship channels); trade show execution; familiarity with EOS; video production skills.
